A potpourri usually refers to a mixture, collection or medley of various spices, petals or melodies.
Prosthodontics in private practice involve various clinical procedures, customized protocols, innovative technology and novel dental materials. Psychological and biological factors also play an important role in the overall approach.
This multi-speaker presentation will address several prosthodontic “petals” and restorative “melodies” to help the attendees understand multiple prosthodontic situations, troubleshooting, case selection and predictable outcomes.
During the fast-paced lecture series the speakers will answer specific clinical questions based on the cumulative decision making of a prosthodontic group practice. Clinicians will be provided with pragmatic and useful recommendations that can be incorporated into everyday practice.

Dr. Baig received his dental degree from H.K.E.S Dental College, Gulbarga
University, India in 1997. He has completed his residency at Government Dental
College and Hospital in Hyderabad India, after working for seven years in India
as a general dentist he decided to move to Canada for a higher education.
Dr. Baig is a board certified Prosthodontist in Canada and has a special interest
in aesthetics and implant dentistry, CT guided Implant surgeries, Dental Ceramics
and smile makeover procedures. Dr. Baig lectures to dental study clubs and
professional organizations across North America and Southeast Asia. Dr. Baig
is a fellow of Royal college of Dentists of Canada, member of Ontario Dental
Association, American Dental Association, American Prosthodontic Society,
New York State Dental Association, Seventh District Dental Society.
Dr. Habshas received her Bachelor of Science degree and earned her DDS
degree from the University of Toronto. Upon graduation, she completed a one
year General Practice Residency at Mount Sinai Hospital, Toronto, ON. Dr. Habsha
received her Diploma in Prosthodontics and Master of Science degree, both
from the University of Toronto. She is a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of
Canada (RCDC) and is an examiner in Prosthodontics for the RCDC. Dr. Habsha
is also a Fellow of The Pierre Fauchard Academy and Academy of Dentistry
International. She is a member of The Association of Prosthodontist of Canada,
The Association of Prosthodontists of Ontario, The Ontario Dental Association,
the American Prosthodontic Society, the Canadian Dental Association and the
American Prosthodontic Society.
Dr. Habsha has served as an Assistant Professor at the University of Toronto. She instructs both at the undergraduate and graduate level in Prosthodontics at U of T.
Dr. Habsha is a Staff Prosthodontist at Mount Sinai Hospital where she teaches
the dental residents. She is a Professor at George Brown College and is the
On-staff Prosthodontist at MedCan clinic in Toronto. She has published numerous articles on topics including tooth wear, dental implants, porcelain veneers, partial denture attachments, and other prosthodontic related topics. Dr. Habsha lectures and provides continuing education programs regionally and nationally on various
topics related to Prosthodontics.
Dr. Izchak Barzilay received his DDS from the University of Toronto in 1983, a
Certificate in Prosthodontics from the Eastman Dental Center in Rochester, NY
in 1986, and a MS from the University of Rochester in 1991. He is currently Head
of the Division of Prosthodontics and Restorative Dentistry, Mt. Sinai Hospital,
Toronto, Ont.; Head- Prosthodontics, Bridge to Health Medical and Dental;
Adjunct Professor, Division of Prosthodontics of the Eastman Department
of Dentistry, University of Rochester, Rochester, NY; Professor, George Brown
College of Applied Arts and Technology, Toronto, ON; Associate in Dentistry,
University of Toronto, Toronto, Ont.; Chief Examiner in Prosthodontics –
Royal College of Dentists of Canada; Past - President of the Association
of Prosthodontists of Canada: Past President - Ontario Study Club for
Osseointegration.; Advisory Board - International Society for Digital Dentistry;
Medical Advisory Board Member – Sjogren’s Society of Canada; Publication
reviewer for Journal of Esthetic and Restorative Dentistry, and is in private
practice limited to prosthodontics and implant dentistry in Toronto, Ont. He has
published on various topics including immediate implants, bonding plastics to
various metals and other material and implant related topics.
Dr. Barzilay hold many fellowships in prestigious organizations and has been awarded multiple awards for his research and teaching accomplishments.

Advances in Implant Dentistry - a practical approach with hands-on

The world of implant dentistry is rapidly evolving. The focus of this presentation will be on advances in implant dentistry specifically on the use of extracted patient's teeth to utilize dentin as an alternative grafting material, and also a first in Canada: how to master creating emergence profile around your dental implant restorations using the revolutionary VPI emergence profile kit.
Dr. Mark Bishara has a practice focused on but not limited to implants, bone
grafting material regeneration, and tissue regeneration in Bowmanville, ON,
Canada. He is the founder of the Canadian Implant Dentistry Network (CIDN),
an online learning group. He collaborates with members of the Miron Lab, with
a focus on tissue regeneration utilizing PRF. He is a published author on topics such as PRF, soft tissue grafting and immediate implants. He can be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org.

The MBA Guide to Dental Practice Management; Creating & Managing a successful Dental Practice

The purpose of this presentation is to provide flexibility and practicality to meet the
business needs of the dental community. The program is a simple way for dentists and staff to acquire the business savvy they need to enhance their profits via efficient management of their practices and finances. The MBA Guide to Dental Practice Management is a series of lectures which are a based upon real courses taken during an MBA Program and how they specifically relate to the business operations of a dental practice. The end goal of the course is to be able to empower the participant to have the tools necessary to create and sustain, through proper management and leadership, a successful dental practice.
Dr. Waji khan is a graduate of the University of Toronto Faculty of Dentistry (2001). Dr. Khan served as a dental officer in the Canadian Armed Forces from 1998-2007 and began his practice there. After a ten-year career in the Canadian Armed Forces, he then moved to Kingston with his wife and life partner, Dr. Sohela Vaid. Dr. Khan enjoys working in all areas of dentistry with a particular interest in cosmetic/esthetic, implant, sedation, restorative, orthodontic and surgical dentistry to improve oral health and boost confidence. He is dedicated to providing oral health care in a comfortable and welcoming environment.
